Central Association of Germans of Jewish Faith - Paperback
£12.99
Founded in 1893, The Central Association of Germans of Jewish Faith was an organisation dedicated to advancing the civil rights of German Jews in the face of rising antisemitism. Among its many activities, it published a newspaper - the CV-Zeitung - which was widely read among Jewish communities in Germany. One of the Association's offices, the Büro Wilhelmstrasse, was the forerunner of the Wiener Holocaust Library in London. The author of Anti-Anti is unknown, but Alfred Wiener, Hans Reichmann and Walter Gyssling are believed to be among those who contributed to the pamphlets. The Association was disbanded shortly after Kristallnacht, in 1938. The Wiener Holocaust Library is Britain's largest collection of printed and archival material covering the Holocaust and genocide. Anthony Kauders is Professor of Modern History at Keele University. Jessica West is a translator from the German, whose prior work includes the translation of Peter Wohlleben's The Weather Detective.
