Dr. Falgun Thakkar obtained Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, in February 2018. He graduated from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) in year 2004 and completed his Masters of Engineering in Communication from GCET, Sardar Patel University (SPU), V. V. Nagar, in year 2010. Dr. Falgun has published more than 30 research articles in various international and national journals and conferences. He has served as Reviewer in many international journals and conferences of repute. His areas of interests include multimedia security, evolutionary algorithms, medical imaging, machine and deep learning, RF and microwave antenna design. He has also received a grant to organize one-week faculty development program on topic ‘Recent trends in medical image processing’ by ISTE, GTU and GUJCOST. At present, he is working on cardiovascular imaging, diabetic retinopathy, medical image security and DRA design for various applications.
Prof. Geetali Saha has submitted her doctoral thesis to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Gujarat, India, and is awaiting her final defense. She graduated from G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology, Sardar Patel University (SPU), in the year 2001 and completed her Master’s in 2011. She is presently working as Associate Professor at G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Electronics and Communication. She is invited as Technical Program Committee Member and Reviewer for the 7th International Conference on Time Series and Forecasting (ITISE-2021), due from April 7–9, 2021, at Gran Canaria, Spain. Apart from that, she has served as Technical Program Committee Member and Reviewer for International Conference on Computational Performance Evaluation (ComPE-2020) during July 2–4, 2020, at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, India, and was associated as IEEE Technical Session Chair for International Conference on Innovations in Power and Advanced Computing Technologies: iPact’17 and iPact’19 at Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT, Vellore, India. Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Texas Instruments (TI), as a part of INDIA Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2018, have awarded her recognition in appreciation for fostering an ecosystem bridging government, industry and academia. She has a few Springer book chapters and IEEE papers published in her domains of research interest that include artificial neural networks, deep neural networks, time series forecasting, IoT applications, real-time object tracking and encryption/decryption methods.
Dr. Celia Shahnaz has completed her Ph.D. from Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Concordia University Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 2009. At present, she is Professor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is also serving as Chair, IEEE Bangladesh section, and also Candidate for 2021–2022 IEEE Region 10 Director-Elect/Delegate-Elect. She is also having many other portfolios in IEEE Bangladesh section like Member of IEEE New Initiative Committee, Member of IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Women in Signal Processing Committee, Member of IEEE WIE WePOWER Subcommittee and many others. In addition to that, she is Founder & Chair of IEEE SPS, IAS Bangladesh Chapter. Her research interest includes the area of deep learning, pattern recognition and machine learning for audio, video, biomedical and power signals. Also, she is working in signal processing for speech analysis and enhancement, multimodal emotion recognition, multimedia communication and many others.
Dr. Yu-Chen Hu received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, in 1999. Currently, Dr. Hu is Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Management, Providence University, Sha-Lu, Taiwan. He is Senior Member of IEEE. He is also Member of Computer Vision, Graphics, and Image Processing (CVGIP), Chinese Cryptology and Information Security Association (CCISA), Computer Science and Information Management (CSIM) and Phi Tau Phi Society of the Republic of China. He joints the editorial boards of several other journals. His research interests include digital forensics, information hiding, image and signal processing, data compression, information security and data engineering.
