Catherine Wilson Author & Editor

Catherine Wilson's experience as a young teacher in East AFrica in the 1960's led her into writing. She started by creating plays that had an African setting. Later she worked for the BBC and for various publishing houses writing texts for students of English as a Foreign Language. She says it was the need to keep her writing simple for language-learning beginners that honed her skills as a writer. Throughout her career, she has also worked as a painter, and later as an Art Therapist. She is a firm believer in encouraging creativity at all ages. She lives on the Isle of Islay on the west coast of Scotland.
