Caroline Barker Bennett Author

Caroline Barker Bennett was born in Limpsfield, Surrey in 1944. She read English at New Hall, Cambridge and then taught English for four years before, first, running a youth and community centre in Clapham and then working for a youth project in rural Surrey. She became a Lay Reader in Southwark Diocese in 1976 and moved to Newcastle Diocese in 1977 to be an Industrial Chaplain. In 1990 she moved to Manchester to be the Director of Education for the Diocese. Her final job was in the same role for Bristol Diocese. She now shares a house with her sister beside the River Wylye in Wiltshire
