Mhemooda Malek has undertaken a range of work looking at policy and practice issues that impact on children and young people. She is a member of the Young Minds advisory group looking at CAMHS for minority ethnic groups and a trustee of the Family Planning Association. Carol Joughin has written extensively on mental health in children and adolescents. She is the Chair of Evidence Sub-group for The Child and Adolescent Mental Health External Working Group for the Children's National Service Framework.
