Quick is Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. He has co-organised four Groups St Andrews conferences, and he is Deputy Convener of the Proceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society. C. W. Parker is Professor in the School of Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Group Theory. E. F. Robertson is Professor Emeritus in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. C. M.
