Barbara Ann Schapiro is Associate Professor of English at Rhode Island College. She is the author of The Romantic Mother: Narcissistic Patterns in Romantic Poetry and coeditor with Lynne Layton of Narcissism and the Text: Studies in Literature and the Psychology of Self.
