Raju Khan is currently working as Principal Scientist & Associate Professor at Microfluidics & MEMS Centre, CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal - 462026, MP, India. His current research on Bio-molecular separation including sample preparation and detection, Microchip based separation under the concept of lab-on-a-chip and electrochemical biosensor integrated with microfluidics for clinical applications. He has more than 15 years R&D experiences in CSIR & other academics R&D Institutes such as in Analytical Chemistry Group, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, CSIR-NPL, New Delhi and CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal Govt. of India, respectively. He received his MSc degree in Inorganic Chemistry and PhD in Physical Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University, New Delhi, India, 2002 & 2005, respectively. Thereafter, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the “Sensor Research laboratory” Department of Chemistry, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa, in the year 2005-06 and also worked as a Fast-Track Young Scientist at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi Govt. of India. Dr Khan involved in synthesize of novel materials to fabricate electrochemical biosensor to detect target disease risk biomarker for health care monitoring. Dr Khan is also engaged other external project funding by National & International collaborative project, Indo-Czech Republic & Indo-Russia etc. He awarded the reputed BOYSCAST fellowship under the scheme of BOYSCAST fellowship from DST and worked as a visiting scientist for one year at University of the Texas at San-antonio, UTSA, USA.

Ayushi Singhal is currently pursuing her Doctorate from AcSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal, under the guidance of Dr Raju Khan. She has completed her post-graduation in MSc (Environmental Chemistry) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, in the year 2019. She is a DST-INSPIRE Fellow and joined as a PhD Chemical Sciences candidate in CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal. Her research inclination is towards the synthesis of polymer nanocomposites, fabrication of biosensors, and applications of biosensors in analysis and monitoring of environmental pollutants in different matrix. She has 6 review articles and 7 book chapter and 1 book editing under her profile.

Dr. Rajan Sharma is presently serving as Joint Director (Research) at ICAR-National Dairy Research institute (ICAR-NDRI), Karnal. His specialization is in Dairy Chemistry and has obtained PhD degree from ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, India. He has 25 years of research and teaching experience. He has guided 20 Masters and 10 PhD students. His area of research includes aptamer-based detection methods, rapid tests for detection of adulterants/contaminants in milk, lateral flow assay for detection of contaminants in milk etc. Dr. Sharma has filed 16 patents out of which 14 have been granted. Many of the technologies (Total 10) developed by his group at ICAR-NDRI related to rapid detection of adulteration in milk have been commercialized. Dr. Sharma has contributed as a Chairman of Scientific Panel on ‘Methods of Sampling and Analysis’ constituted by Food Safety & Standards Authority of India. He is also Fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (India) and National Academy of Dairy Sciences (India). Dr. Sharma has received Biotech Product and Process Development and Commercialization Award-2020, Bharat Ratna Dr. C Subramaniam Award for Outstanding Teachers Award-2019, Low-Cost Technology Development Award –2016, NRDC Meritorious Invention Award – 2013, , Indo-US Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science & Technology Fellows Program (2007-08) of USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, USA under Indo-US Agricultural Knowledge Initiative and Erasmus Mundus Visiting Professor scholarship for one Month (2012) from Sefotechnut, Belgium for Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland. He has contributed more than 115 research articles in reputed journals.

Dr. Y.S. Rajput is superannuated scientist after serving as Head of Division of Biochemistry, Head of Division of Dairy Chemistry Division, Emeritus Scientist and other scientific positions at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, India. He possesses more than 40 years of research and teaching experience. He did PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. His area of interest includes aptamer selection against aflatoxin M1 and β-casomorphin-7 peptide, identification of truncated aptamer, methods for evaluation of recognition of target by aptamer, electrochemical aptasensors, urea sensor, synthesis of gold nanoparticles and development of gold nanoparticles based detection methods, molecularly imprinted polymers, enzyme conjugates, enzyme-based methods for detection of adulteration in milk, milk quality assurance, thermal stability of enzymes, stem cells. Dr. Rajput has filed thirteen patents out of which twelve have been granted. Developed technologies has been licensed through forty three agreements to industrial houses. As a visiting faculty member, He has worked at University of Wisconsin, USA and University of Guelph, Canada. He has more than 100 research articles. He is fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (India) and National Academy of Dairy Sciences (India). Dr. Rajput is recipient of NRDC Meritorious Invention Award, Sukumar Basu Memorial Award, Dr. KK Iya Award and Low-Cost Technology Award. He has guided 10 doctoral and 13 master students.

He has recently edited a book ‘Enzyme beyond traditional applications in dairy science and technology’ published by Elsevier, Academic Press in year 2023.
