Lawrence Lee Hewitt is retired Professor of History at Southeastern Louisiana University. He is the author of several works, including Port Hudson, Confederate Bastion on the Mississippi, a selection of the History Book Club. Arthur W. Bergeron, Jr., is a historian at Pamlin Historical Park in Petersburg, Virginia. He is the author of several books, including The Civil War Reminiscences of Major Silas T. Grisamore, C.S.A. and Confederate Mobile, 1861-1865, both selections of the History Book Club.
