Anne Pettigrew Author

For 31 years Anne Pettigrew was a GP who also dabbled in anthropology, complementary medicine and light- hearted columns in The Herald and medical press. Born in Glasgow, she is a graduate of the Universities of Glasgow and Oxford. She now lives in North Ayrshire and loves travelling, gardening, food and wine. She is endlessly fascinated by women’s capacity to overcome adversity, and finding no literature covering the experience of modern UK women doctors, decided to write such a novel with the help of Creative Writing tuition at Glasgow University. She has won prizes for short stories and had some published, while this first novel, Not the Life Imagined, was runner-up in the SAW Constable Silver Stag Award 2018.
