Andreas Maercker, PhD MD, Professor and Chair at the Department of Psychology, University of Zurich, Switzerland, is one of the world's leading experts in psychological trauma consequences and posttraumatic stress disorder. He directed several basic and treatment research programs on traumatized populations in Germany and Switzerland. From 2011 to 2018 he chaired the working group "Stress-associated disorders" for the ICD-11 revision by the World Health Organization. Eva Heim, PhD, co-directs the working group Cultural Clinical Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Zurich, Switzerland, and works as a psychotherapist at the Department's outpatient clinic. She graduated in clinical psychology from the University of Bern and conducted the fieldwork for her PhD in Bolivia, where she lived for four years. Laurence J. Kirmayer, MD, is Professor and Director, Division of Social and Transcultural Psychiatry at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and a world-leading expert on cultural psychiatry. He founded and directs the annual Summer Program and Advanced Study Institute in Cultural Psychiatry at McGill. He also directs the Network for Aboriginal Mental Health Research.
