G. Sudhir is former Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry on Socio-Economic and Educational Conditions of Muslims in Telangana, 2015-19. He graduated from Nizam College and pursued his M.A. in Political Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He served as Secretary, Panchayat Raj, and as Secretary in the revenue department. He was Principal Secretary of Higher Education, and then Principal Secretary, Cooperation and Agricultural Marketing, Tourism and Culture. He was Special Chief Secretary of Finance and Special Chief Secretary of Medical and Health in Government of Telangana from where he retired in June 2012. M. A. Bari is a Social Activist and Social Worker. He is Retired Lecturer and Educationist. He was member of the Commission on Inquiry on Socio-economic and educational Status of Muslims in Telangana, Government of Telangana, 2015-2019. Amir Ullah Khan, PhD is a Development Economist. He was Policy Advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He is a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business and at the Manipal Institute of Technology. He is the Co-Founder and Research Director at Aequitas Consulting. He is on the governing boards at Presidency University, Gyan Shaala, Welham Girls’ School, the Digital Empowerment Foundation, Pahle India Foundation, Education and Health Foundation, ACCESS ASSIST, and the India China Economic Council. Abdul Shaban, PhD is a Professor at the School of Development Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He is author of Mega-Urbanization in the Global South: Fast Cities and New Urban Utopias of the Postcolonial State (Routledge London, 2016); Muslims in Urban India: Development and Exclusion (Concept Publishing, New Delhi, 2013); editor of Lives of Muslims in India: Politics, Exclusion and Violence (Routledge, 2012 London); Mumbai: Political Economy of Crime and Space (Orient Blackswan, 2010). He has published several papers on development and deprivation in India and production of ethnic spaces in cities. He has authored several reports and research project for the State and Central Governments, for corporate sectors and UN agencies. He has been a Visiting Professor/Fellow at various universities outside the country. These include London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE); University of Paris; Erasmus University, The Netherlands; Masaryk University, Czech Republic; Muenster University, Germany.
