Sten Rynning is professor of war studies at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on modern war, transatlantic relations, and NATO's role in the global security order.

Olivier Schmitt is professor with special responsibilities at the Center for War Studies, University of Southern Denmark, and currently director of research and studies at the French Institute for Higher National Defence Studies. His research focuses on defence cooperation, contemporary warfare and transatlantic security.

Amelie Theussen is an assistant professor at the Center for War Studies, University of Southern Denmark, where she specializes in the effects of changes to war and warfare on international legal norms regulating the use of force. Additionally, she works on security in the Baltic Sea region.
