Amanda Gagel is Associate Editor of the Mark Twain Project at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include American and British literature of the late-nineteenth century and book and publishing history. Recent publications include '1897, A Discussion of Plagiarism: Letters Between Vernon Lee, Bernard Berenson, and Mary Costelloe' in Literary Imagination (2010) and Vol.8, The Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted: The Early Boston Years (1882-1890) (editor) (2013).
