Dr. Athar Hussain is Professor and Head (Civil Engineering and Geoinformatics) Netaji Subhas University of Technology West Campus (erstwhile CBPGEC Jaffarpur), New Delhi. Dr. Hussain completed his B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) from Jamia Millia Islamia in 1998, M.Tech. from AMU Aligarh in 2001 and PhD in Environmental Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 2007. He was Assistant Director (2007-2010) at National Productivity Council, New Delhi (Ministry of Commerce & Industry) and Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida till December 2015. He is supervising many PhD research scholars in diversified areas of environmental engineering of which many have been awarded degrees. He has more than 15 years of experience in the area of teaching, research and consultancy. He has also guided more than 60 M.Tech dissertations. He has published more than 140 papers in international referred journals and international conferences. Dr. Hussain has published a few books on water and wastewater treatment, IGI Global USA and is also serving as a reviewer for many international publishers like Taylor and Francis, Interscience Publishers, Elsevier Science, etc. He is also an Associate and Fellow Member of The Institution of Engineers (IE) India, Member ASCE, Member of Institution of valuers (IV) N. Delhi, India and Member of Indian Society of Wind Engineering, India.

Alpana Gupta is an Environmental Planner with Bachelors in Civil Engineering, her expertise lies in dealing with Urban & Environmental problems spatially, modeling assessment report for the in-depth analysis and the proposals of best practices that can be adopted for the effective implementation of the projects.

Formerly as a BIRAC Innovator, IIT Delhi, she has worked under the theme of "Combating Environmental Pollution" addressing the global problem of plastic pollution and transformed the plastic waste into useful products. She has also delivered projects as a Young professional (Consultant) for the Shyama Prasad Mukherji Urban Mission, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh investigating infrastructure planning projects (check dams, construction of hostels, solar street light, agro-park processing units and pipe water supply, designed toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission). Her experience of working as a Research Associate for the project "Livelihood and Community Mapping through GIS" for School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal under Ministry of Tribal Affairs gave her deep insight about interacting with communities and assessing it spatially. She holds hand-on experience of 3 years working in government projects which makes her adaptable to multidimensional field, perform interdepartmental coordination, data collection & analysis, spatial planning & technical role, entrepreneurial mindset, drafting government proposal reports and research & development experience (+10 publications-Book/Book Chapter/Papers).
