During my academic career as a professor and in conviction of my personal life, I have received help and encouragement from so many people that it is not possible to name them all. To all of you, I express my deepest gratitude. There were a few including some colleagues that have tried to stop or discourage me. I am grateful to them too because without them I could not be so determined to improvise. Books are companions along the journey of learning, and I hope that despite AI interventions, you will be able to use this book in your own exploration of the field of urban water engineering and planning. Have a wonderful journey.
