Sophie Archambault de Beaune is Professor at the University of Lyon and researcher at the ‘Archaeology and Ancient Sciences’ laboratory in Nanterre. She works on the technical behaviour and cognitive skills of prehistoric man and is also interested in the history of prehistory. ;

Alessandro Guidi has been Full Professor of Palethnology at the University of Roma Tre since 2004. He has been concerned mainly with the proto-history of the Italian peninsula, paying particular attention to the problem of the birth of the city and the state, to the history of prehistoric studies, and to theoretical archaeology and methodology. ;

Oscar Moro Abadía works as Associate Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada). He specializes in the study of the history and the epistemology of Pleistocene art. ;

Massimo Tarantini works as functionary archaeologist at the Italian Ministry of Culture. His research experience concentrates in the fields of prehistoric mining archaeology and in the history of archaeology.
