Awful Agatha on the Run

Agatha swears she’s not awful. She’s just the toughest kid on the roughest housing estate. It’s not her fault that she’s really good at hitting people, especially those who make fun of her scruffy clothes and messy hair. Sometimes, she has to fight back. But when a classroom prank goes horribly wrong, Agatha flees the school and goes on the run. She needs help, but her family are not very helpful. Her uncle, Jimmy the Jeweller, is a thief. Her cousin George wants to be a thief and her parents just want to be left alone. Agatha has no choice but to hide in her favourite place – behind the spooky Cemetery Gates - where a new hairy friend saves her life. Together, the pair decide to become professional pranksters. But a mysterious policeman is soon on their tail. In fact, everyone is chasing Agatha. The teachers want her back at school and the policeman wants her back with her family. But her villainous family want her back for something truly terrifying. Jimmy the Jeweller is plotting the crime of the century and needs Agatha’s help. It’s a big decision for a 10-year-old girl to make, even if she is super tough. Should she be loyal to a strange policeman or break the law for her family?
