Bogo watched many animals around him. Some of them were so incredible that they made him feel less special. One day he decided to invent amazing things so that he could have everything he wanted.
A pair of wings to fly like a bird. It never worked.
A pair of night glasses to see like an owl. It never worked . . .

“A fabulous book celebrating individuality. ...Isern’s writing has qualities kids will love – there are repeated phrases and everyone feels like they know a Bogo. Wimmer’s illustrations go with the writing marvelously – they create that sense of whimsy….a wonderful story, and I think kids will enjoy having this read to them!”
"We think any of NubeOcho’s beautiful, thoughtful books would make a wonderful addition to any holiday gift for a child in your life.”
"An entertaining story with whimsical illustrations and lots of heart." - Kirkus Reviews "A good read, with an important message about being happy with who you are, knowing what makes you special, and never giving up on what you like to do. These messages also make great discussions starters with kids.” Mundie Kids blog "I really enjoyed this book! The images are unique, and eye catching, and the story is easy to follow. I also loved the moral that fox was able to learn from his friends, and that they were able to help each other in their own ways. I highly recommend this book to any parents or people who work with children, but also to anyone who enjoys children's literature, no matter your age." -- Stephanie Curtner, Adventures Thru Wonderland "An entertaining story filled with lots of humor
also an adorable picture book filled with so many wonderful messages. The themes of jealousy, diversity, and self-doubt are all explored, but the overall messages (and maybe the most important ones) are self confidence and acceptance. I loved this book!" -- Booking Mama "Highly recommended." - Jeri Light, Siouxland Library Recommending. Joanna Bu, Maplewood Community Library
