Impieratrica Marija-Class Battleships cover

This book describes the history of four Russian battleships of the Great War from the Impieratrica Marija Class, both their service and tragic end. Construction began in 1911, with the help of British shipyard John Brown & Company for the Tsar’s Black Sea Fleet. They entered service in 1915 and fought mainly against the Turkish navy. One chapter is devoted to an accident onboard Impieratrica Maria and Russia’s later efforts to raise the ship following its fateful sinking.
