The Japanese Destroyer Shimakaze cover

In 1939 the Japanese Navy General Staff demanded to develop a project of a destroyer with a speed of 40 knots. The project was called "Project F52" and was included in the plan called Maru Yon. In connection with this, a project was prepared and the construction of the Japanese destroyer with number 125 (later named Shimakaze) began.

Another excellent book from the Kagero stable, of interest to the naval historian and model ship-wright alike. Recommended. * Scale Military Modelling International Magazine 04/02/2019 *
So an interesting set of plans for anyone interested in the ships of the IJN in WW2, and a fine reference for modellers in particular from Kagero. * Military Model Scene 26/02/2019 *
… essential for anyone. High quality and great value for money. * Editor - Model Boat World 10/06/2019 *
