This volume is the second in a series that presents a collection of papers from the World Conference of Pluricentric Languages and their non-dominant Varieties (WCPCL). It features 17 insightful contributions focusing on two prominent pluricentric languages: Portuguese and Spanish. The conference took place at the University of Graz in Austria from July 8th to 11th, 2015, bringing together experts to discuss the intricacies of pluricentricity.

The papers are categorized into six distinct themes. These include theoretical aspects of pluricentricity and the variation within Portuguese, as well as the characteristics and developments of Brazilian Portuguese. Additionally, the volume examines non-dominant varieties of Portuguese found in regions such as Asia and Africa, as well as the unique features of national varieties of Spanish.
