The Wall cover

The Wall tells the story of a king who notices how his kingdom, once populated by blue faces, is now inhabited by faces of all colours. So he decides to go back to the past and separate his people from the 'foreigners', expelling them and ordering the construction of a wall. Soon, however, he realises that all his wishes can only be achieved with the help of the different faces he had driven away. He therefore orders the wall to be torn down and succeeds in recreating a kingdom where people live in harmony, recognising the value of integration between people.

With a creative design, clever artwork and reminiscent aspects of comics and a powerful (and very timely!) message, this book also celebrates diversity, encouraging the destruction of imaginary/real walls and beliefs that separate/divide humans due to their differences. It’s a story about how we all have much more to gain to learn how to live together in peace. The story follows a tyrannical king who wants to create a kingdom with blue-faced people only and orders a wall to be built to divide people. Will it all work out in the end or will he learn an important lesson?!
