ADVERTISING:
Beginning with the publication of the book in Oct. 2019, the author will begin a campaign of paid advertisements in publications that reach the book's target audience. Tentative plans include ads in Publisher’s Weekly, The Old Schoolhouse's Family Education Magazine and quarterly online magazine (fall 2019, spring 2020), and the Texas Home School Coalition's Home Education Quarterly online magazine. Plus, paid advertising in Great Homeschool Convention program guides (7 nationwide) and Texas Home School Coalition convention program guides (2).

PUBLICITY:
National publicity firm, Buoyancy Public Relations has been retained. Joni Sullivan Baker will solicit interviews with major newspapers, magazines, radio and television programs which appeal to the target audience for this book. Joni will send out the book for trade and consumer/reader reviews to be posted on major review sites as well as their blogs and social media platforms.

In addition, author will engage The Old Schoolhouse Review Crew of eighty (80) homeschool parent bloggers and will alert her personal contact list of those who purchased the first book¬ in the Star Namer Series to seek pre-launch orders for the book.

SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES:
Author will be seeking opportunities at the conventions mentioned above and in the Dallas area with churches, Christian schools, homeschool groups, book clubs and garden clubs.

Along the way, he gathers an unlikely band of heroes including the son of a thief, a deaf sandal-maker and a lonely giant. And then there is Pickle Girl—a saucy young lady, named for a thorny bush that grows out of solid rock and whose pickled buds are a condiment for wild game. The fictional story of The Star Namer and the Unchosen suggests how the Jebusites took over Jerusalem and became the stronghold able to resist the efforts of both the men of Judah (Joshua 15:63) and the men of Benjamin (Judges 1:21).
