A Matter of Blue

Lannan Foundation funds provide additional marketing dollars for this title. Marketing will include White Box mailings, a special Lannan Series brochure, and targeting of translation studies programs, French programs, and creative writing programs. No competing titles. Postcards will be distributed to bookstores, universities, individuals and literary centers. Galleys will be sent to reviewers prior to publication. There is a good chance that Maulpoix will travel to the U.S. in fall 2005 to give several poetry readings.

Jean-Michel Maulpoix (www.maulpoix.net) is director of a quarterly literary journal and professor of poetry at University Paris X-Nanterre. Dawn Cornelio wrote her PhD thesis on translating Maulpoix. She is assistant professor of French studies at University of Guelph, Ontario.
