Dedham, Flatford and East Bergholt: A Pictorial History

Dedham, Flatford and East Bergholt are most famous today for their connections with John Constable whose father owned the mills at Dedham and Flatford. Many of his paintings depict scenes at these three places or the River Stour, which weaves between them to the sea and which played an important part in the development of the early settlements.
