Biennial Report of the Commonwealth Secretary-General, 2011-2013

This report covers the work of the Commonwealth Secretariat, the principal intergovernmental organisation of the 53-nation Commonwealth, from July 2011 to June 2013. It marks a time of transformation for the organisation, following recommendations made by the Commonwealth Eminent Persons Group in its 2011 report 'A Commonwealth of the People: Time for Urgent Reform'. The report covers all aspects of the Commonwealth Secretariat's work including strengthening democratic systems; economic, sustainable, public sector and human development; investment in young people; and partnerships with other organisations. It was presented to Commonwealth leaders at their biennial summit in Perth in November 2011.
