Julian Joachim burst onto the scene in 1992 and quickly became one of the most exciting and sought-after young talents in English football. Few players make the immediate impact that Joachim did. In his debut season, he scored in a Wembley final, finished as runner up in Match of the Day's Goal of the Season, won an international trophy and saw off competition from Patrick Kluivert, Robbie Fowler and Clarence Seedorf to win Player of the Tournament award at the under 18 European Championships.
