Paul Bonham explores the foundations for relationships between people and drugs. His background as a drugs counsellor in prison and his experience working with young people in schools, on the streets and in clubs, has provided him with a unique insight and knowledge of the subject. From the outset, Paul explains that the term drug can be applied to any substance - whether illegal or legal - or an activity, such as gambling or drinking, that alters an individual's mindset. The approach he adopts in his workshops, which form the basis of this book, is to consider all aspects of building relationships in order to gain an understanding of the psychological and social issues surrounding addiction.
