These creative children love to use their imaginations playing pirates and mermaids on an old boat on the beach, until one day when they arrive at the beach to play the boat is gone. The friends set off on a hunt for the missing boat accompanied by Biscuit the dog. Lottie and her friends explore the park, lighthouse, castle and other parts of the island in their search. At last, with the help of Biscuit they spot their boat, however local artist Annie has used her imagination to repurpose the boat and they must work together to convince her to return it to the beach. With a little creativity and a lot of teamwork the children make a compelling case to Annie. A lovely story that celebrates being yourself, friendship, imagination and most importantly having fun. Paired with beautiful digital illustrations that are brimming with humorous details for young readers to find this book is engaging from start to finish.
