INTEGRATION OF FUNDAMENTAL ORGANIC CHEMISTRY WITH GREEN CHEMISTRY: A Laboratory Manual is an approach to design an efficient, sustainable and green undergraduate lab covering fundamental concepts of chemistry and how they are applied to green chemistry. It illustrates that the greener approach eliminates toxic, hazardous and unsafe chemicals with safe, less toxic and environmental friendly compounds emphasizes on the laboratory safety which is a step towards the green and sustainable chemistry and discusses various laboratory safety like thin layer chromatography (TLC), extraction, low temperature reaction, stoichiometry calculation, multistep synthesis, product isolation and purification to train students for industry and research. Usually, students face difficulties in understanding and explaining the theoretical concept while performing organic experiments in the laboratories. Therefore, this book is infused with theory and experiments on a same platform. It is anticipated that this book will bridge the gap between classroom teaching and laboratory training.
