Scott and Jill Carter have big plans for the promotion of their book which starts with their five-tier plan. The first tier is to capitalize on their relationships with existing education companies, and to develop email drip campaigns, social media advertising, book pre-sales, banner advertising, etc. The second tier has begun with the hiring of Dennis Welch at Articulate as their public relations firm/publicist to generate interest in and coverage of the book. They will use their other public relations contacts to amplify his efforts and will be focusing on both financial media and lifestyle media. The third tier involves the shooting of the Carters’ TV show pilot that will be focused on finances, financial freedom, retirement and successful living. They are also shooting commercials for the book that will run online and in select markets where they expect the pilot show to launch on Christian stations, and more. The fourth tier involves the marketing of the You Got This! workbook and three-part online workshop. Also, they will be marketing a live seminar around the book which should drive up attendance from the seminar attendees and the book sales. These marketing efforts are beginning in March, with a mid-May or early June two and a half day seminar in either Los Angeles or DC. The final tier involves taking into consideration how to market the book, follow-up materials, and classes to the different branches of the military. Scott Carter has established an online presence through weekly videos, called Financial Fastlane, he sends to interested investors. Also, he has a video, Walking With Scott, that he posts weekly onto his social media accounts. The marketing of the book will be made easier due to Scott’s weekly public speaking presence. He speaks to a large audience that includes investors and those wanting to be educated on income generation strategies. This audience is a sweet spot for the book, as most are 45-65 and are taking steps toward financial freedom. Jill also has experience as a public speaker.
