Her email list of 1,100 is expected to grow with her new website format. Lectures, Workshops, Keynotes, and Conferences Dr. Petry is a seasoned speaker. She has written and delivered hundreds of speeches, lectures, and workshop presentations. Last year her audience totaled over 2,000 individuals, and this year’s audience total will be over 2,400 individuals. She gives three workshops per month, with 20 participants in each workshop, and provides approximately 500 private sessions per year. Dr. Petry holds an annual mind-body-spirit conference, which is open to 200 participants and is supported by Florida’s Departments of Health and Education. She has been a regular presenter at Miami’s largest spiritual healing center, Unity on the Bay, which has an average attendance of 1,100 people. When the time is right, she will create a signature presentation relating to the book, and will personally fund a book tour crossing from one coast to the other, targeting at least one-third of the top 100 book markets in the U.S. She will seek further opportunities at retreat centers including the Omega Institute, Kripalu Center, Esalen Institute, Institute of Noetic Sciences, and Joshua Tree. The author has friends and family in many of the major cities and would use this network for accommodations and to help set up book signings and teaching and speaking opportunities. Dr. Petry’s existing networking opportunities include her annual participation at a statewide Florida disability conference attended by over 12,000 parents, individuals with a disability and providers. With its founder, she plans to seek grant funds to annually distribute 1,000 copies of her book at the conference and a book announcement flyer in their conference book bag. At last year’s conference in June 2019, she included excerpts from her book during her scheduled presentations, including a day-long woman’s summit pre-conference and the Celebration of Life Ceremony. Opportunities to sign up for book announcement notification will be offered at workshops and her exhibit booth, reaching all conference attendees. Many families attending have children with severe disabilities, and her after-life experiences with her daughter will be of great interest. Parent to Parent of Miami, the non-profit parent-to-parent organization she founded, reaches over 4,000 families annually and is part of a national network of parent support and advocacy organizations that serve with children with a disability. They hold many local events and distribute an online newsletter where her book can be promoted. Also, she has also contributed quarterly to the family section of Parenting Special Needs, a national online magazine for parents with children with a disability. The magazine reaches 225,000 subscribers. The founder of the magazine has agreed to promote her book in a variety of ways through the magazine. A Mother's Courage to Awaken is a story about death and resurrection, literal and figurative. A story about unimaginable loss and the will to not only survive but thrive.Ancient Methods of Healing Bring You Closer to the Other Side

“Dr. Paula Petry shares her extremely personal and fascinating journey in A Mother's Courage to Awaken, a book that, regardless of your personal experiences or beliefs, is bound to resonate with some aspect of your life.” – Gloria Estefan

A Mother's Courage to Awaken tells a story about the love and loss of a child―and the healing quest it initiated. On her search for inner peace, professor Paula Petry, PhD looks to re-emerging ancient methods that nurture positive emotional health, mental wellness, and spiritual well-being.

A story about death and resurrection. What does this mean? To nurture a life? And what if that life is your own? When Dr. Petry loses her daughter Alexandra, she looks for ways to connect with loved ones in the afterlife. Along her journey, she encounters a literal and figurative resurrection, a transcendence of time and space, and a life transformed beyond whatever was imagined possible.

Emotional health and mental wellness from the other side. A Mother’s Courage to Awaken confronts grief, love, and loss with holistic practices and alternative health medicine. Inside, you’ll find healing modalities outside of traditional medicine like sound healing, plant medicine, Akashic Records, shamanism, acupuncture, and healing mantras. With these ancient methods and different forms of energy medicine, join Dr. Petry to:

  • Re-discover the power of prayer, intention, and the imagination
  • Re-direct our thoughts to what we want rather than what we don’t want
  • Relinquish the illusion of control

A Mother's Courage to Awaken speaks to women wishing to awaken to their inner truth and power, and readers of Many Lives, Many Masters; Proof of Heaven; Journey of Souls; or What Dreams Have Come.
