Hosts: Arthur Frommer and Pauline Frommer Syndicated newspaper columns: Distributed by King Features, and seen in newspapers across the United States and Canada. Two weekly by Arthur Frommer, one by Pauline Frommer Keynote speeches: Every year Pauline and Arthur Frommer make personal appearances across the United States at Travel Shows and other venues. In 2017/2018, these included appearances at the New York Times Travel Show, the Boston Globe Travel Show, the Minneapolis Star Tribune Travel Show and the Travel and Adventure Shows held in Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, Philadelphia and Chicago. All were supported by major advertising campaigns, with mentions of the Frommer guidebooks. TV Appearances: In the last five years, Pauline Frommer has appeared multiple times on Good Morning America, The Today Show, the NBC Evening News, the ABC Evening News, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and Inside Edition. In addition, all of the travel show speeches (see above) require appearances on local TV and radio stations, to boost those shows and the books. Other Media: Quoted in multiple articles by the Associated Press, including one coming up in June on Pauline’s tips for visiting New York City (which will be paired with an AP podcast on that topic). Frommer’s, and Arthur and Pauline Frommer, were the subject of a feature article in the magazine that has the largest circulation on earth, AARP’s magazine. We have also recently appeared in print and/or online versions of Real Simple, Forbes, Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Money Magazine, and other magazines, along with newspapers and blogs. Appearances for the last three years on Rick Steve’s radio show, as well as other NPR shows. Web campaigns 2017/2018: Partnership with the nation of Peru to promote Frommer’s EasyGuide to Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu with a major contest. Partnership with the nation of Colombia to promote Frommer’s EasyGuide to Colombia. Partnership/contest with HomeAway.com to promote the 60th anniversary (2017) of the Frommer’s brand. And Frommers.com continues to be an important presence on the web with 3 million unique users per month. Social Media: Frommer’s maintains an active social media presence and has 150,000 Twitter followers (which is 60,000 more than Rick Steves), 31,000 followers on Facebook, 22,000 followers on Instagram. Unlike our competitors, we delete all bots, so these are real numbers, not inflated ones. We’ve also done numerous successful ad campaigns on Facebook in the last year.

Frommer's EasyGuides contain punchy, concise prose by our expert local journalists, which gives readers all they need to know to plan the perfect vacation. This includes reviews for travel venues in all price ranges, as well as information on culture and history that will enhance any trip.

Frommer’s books aren’t written by committee or by travel writers who pop in briefly to a destination and then consider the job done. Frommer’s author Caroline Aksich is a long-time resident of Toronto, and she has been covering the city, Ontario’s Wine Country, and Niagara Falls for top magazines for over a decade.

She has checked out all of the region’s best hotels and restaurants in person, offering authoritative, candid reviews that will help you find the best choices to suit your tastes and budget, whether you’re a backpacker or on a splashy honeymoon. Most important, she’s not shy about telling readers what to see and what they can skip without regret.

The book includes:

  • A handy fold-out map, plus 20+ detailed maps throughout
  • Smart itineraries for travelers of all types, so you can shape your vacation to fit your interests
  • Savvy, sometimes sneaky, tips for saving money in all price ranges, whether you need to pinch pennies, want to splurge, or fall somewhere in between
