Hoyt is like an astute coach of sport, who is keen on bringing to his readers the technical differences that make a difference. I especially appreciated his interviews with Michael White and Don Meichenbaum, which bring across the logic of these two approaches, each as sharp as a razor. Finally, I believe the reader will be grateful for the overview from Haim Omer, of the different languages, conversational, narrative and strategic, which make these skillful therapists quite different in mood, temper and emphasis.
