Alejandro (Han for short) has never been in love. He purposefully keeps his heart at arm's length from anyone who might want it. That way, he'll never have to face losing someone he truly cares about if he were to be deported.

On the other hand, Han's roommate and best friend, Kenny, is stuck in a soul-sucking relationship with a woman who wants nothing more than for Kenny to ditch Han and marry her.
