Rita Cheminais is well-known as a keynote speaker on special educational needs provision and this revised and updated version of her original text is considered to be the ‘bible’ on leading and coordinating SEN provision. Cheminais has a reputation for being able to take complex issues and to break them down into manageable size chunks both for new SENCOs and those with greater experience... The book is particularly helpful in the context of an overview of existing and new legislation relating to special educational needs and disability terminology.
