Landfill has lived his whole life in Hinterland, an industrial landscape overrun with weeds and wild flowers. His guardian, Babagoo, protects him from the horrors of Outside, on one condition: Landfill must follow the rules. But Landfill is curious and is starting to question whether Babagoo really does know best...Landfill is a boy raised with animals behind the walls of Hinterland -an industrial landscape succumbing to weeds and wild flowers. His guardian, a tormented scavenger called Babagoo, protects him from the horrors of Outside, on one condition - follow his rules: NEVER COME LOOKING OUTSIDE. NEVER RISE ABOVE THE WALL. But as he gets older, Landfill's curiosity is winning out over obedience and he begins to question whether Outside is deserving of such fear and loathing. And when Landfill finally meets an Outsider named Dawn, his world is turned upside down as he learns that the Hinterland isn't what it seems and that Babagoo hasn't being telling him the whole truth...
