Also included are an examination of a recently discovered fragment of the abridged version of Cassiodorus's Expositio psalmorum, a reassessment of the importance of bookland in understanding the period, and an investigation into conflicting East Anglican episcopal chronology, with regard to Bede's Historia Ecclesiastica.
