Respublica

This source book in translation gathers together extensive extracts from Cicero's works in which he discusses the Roman state ('res publica'). All the extracts are given in English translation and grouped into eight thematic chapters, enabling the student to examine the evidence and draw his or her own conclusions from the material presented.
