Each book contains over 50 pages of photocopiable activities. Each section includes a "lesson starter" which introduces or revises a particular skill, and is intended to be used with the whole class. This is either an OHP sheet, a handout or a set of cards. This is followed by a consolidation activity (a longer activity which reinforces the same skill) and an extension activity which provides a challenge for more-able pupils. Includes comprehensive notes for teachers. Non-schematic - a flexible resource that teachers can use to complement their core scheme(s) and for homework, extra practice and so on.
This drawing book uses step-by-step instructions to explain how to use pencil, pen and ink, Conte and charcoal when drawing portraits. It covers a selection of materials, composition, perspective and drawing techniques - both traditional and innovative.A series of three photocopiable literacy activity books for secondary schools and home study. Each book covers key objectives of the Text Level strand of the National Literacy Strategy framework for one year at Key Stage 3. All the material is photocopiable, so minimal teacher preparation is required. Developing Literacy has been hugely successful at primary level - and this secondary series was requested by Key Stage 3 teachers who have been using the NLS Framework since September 2001. The books are also compatible with the 5-14 Guidelines for Scotland and the Curriculum for Northern Ireland.
