Scientific aquaculture can ensure steady and regular protection of fish, which may be increased considerably with planned input of modern technology, similar to the case of scientific agriculture in relation to the production of land-based food crops. Aquaculture has therefore the potential of being the second largest means of food production next only to agriculture.
