Star Wars: Kenobi cover

Set between Episodes III and IV, this novel follows Obi-Wan Kenobi as he aids Tatooine's residents during his exile, confronting danger while protecting the galaxy's last hope. A compelling read for fans.

In Star Wars: Kenobi, set between the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, the story follows Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during his exile on the desert planet of Tatooine. With the Republic fallen and Sith Lords in control, Obi-Wan has lost everything except for his hope. Known to the locals as 'Ben,' he lives a life of seclusion, attempting to protect an orphaned infant boy who holds the galaxy's future in his hands.

Tatooine is portrayed as a harsh environment where farmers struggle to survive under the relentless heat of two suns, while also defending themselves from the dangers posed by the Tusken Raiders. As tensions rise between the farmers and a tribe led by a ruthless war chief, Ben is reluctantly drawn into the conflict. This involvement threatens his mission of remaining hidden and protecting the boy, forcing him to confront the very darkness he sought to escape.

As the situation escalates, Ben must grapple with his identity as Obi-Wan Kenobi, a hero of the Clone Wars, and the responsibilities that come with his Jedi training. Faced with injustice and innocent lives at stake, he cannot ignore the call to action. Ultimately, Obi-Wan must navigate the delicate balance between his past as a Jedi and the necessity of becoming 'Crazy Old Ben' to fulfill his duty in a galaxy plagued by turmoil.

Outstanding . . . Deserves very high ranking among Star Wars fiction. * Booklist *
One of the better and more pleasing additions to the current Expanded Universe crop, and likely only the first of an eventual series outlining our Jedi hero’s new life on the hauntingly beautiful world of Tatooine. * Star Wars Afficionado blog *
Kenobi captures a lot of what’s great about the lead character. It’s humorous, playful, yet serious, thorough and impactful too. * Starburst Magazine online *
Wonderfully told ... the pacing is spot on ... Miller reveals just enough at each turn so that we must read on and in doing so he never fails to pique our interest in all the characters. This is a story all will enjoy: whether you've seen only the six films or have a greater interest in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. * SW Books *
Brilliant . . . This is Star Wars fiction at its absolute best. * Examiner *
