White-Collar Crime cover

In the nearly twenty years since the first edition of White-Collar Crime, the fields of criminal justice and criminology have changed dramatically. Nonetheless, the revised edition, published in 1977, still holds a place on many bookshelves, a testament to the editors' ability to identify works of the highest quality. At long last, with the assistance of new co-editor Lawrence M. Salinger, White-Collar Crime has been fully revised, including the most extensive bibliography on white-collar crime that has ever been compiled.

Michael L. Benson I fully expected to find that Professor Geis and his co-editors would put together an up-to-date, balanced, and comprehensive set of selections. I was not disappointed. In my view, the editors have identified the cream of contemporary work in the field and have retained an appropriate amount of earlier work of lasting value. The second edition of White-Collar Crime has been for years the best reader in this area. The third edition is the only thing I've seen that could knock it out of the number one spot.
